I decided to create a How-to Video Tutorial about painting carnations, in a fun and simple way. Often times such objects of nature can be hard to recreate when painting; so it's fun to find new ways as "short-cuts" to get the same effect on the canvas as we do in the real world.
This painting took about 3 days out of the week to complete. I spent the first day coming up with the sketch and canvas size. The second day I primed my canvas, drew my design, sealed the image, and primed it once again for the video. On the final day, I had spent the evening painting the background and flowers.
I decided to pick the Carnation because it is my mother's favorite flower. With Mothers Day right around the corner, why not gift her the gift of flowers that will not die off. I enjoy to paint a lot of flowers because the image of beauty will last forever.
Overall putting the video together took some time. As I am still getting used to the Programs I tried my best to keep the video simple and easy tp understand. This was a great experience because now I am more motivated to make some painting videos for Youtube.
Here is the Youtube link for the Painting Tutorial. I was unable to upload my actual video file because the Weebly site mentioned the file was too large. I would have to upgrade the account. I hope the link is okay. Please enjoy ! and Thank you for watching.
